Samsung is one of the worlds leading companies in electronics and technology.

For Samsung, I contributed in building the front end for Samsung Electronic Australia's (SEA) My Account. My Account was a first for Samsung using SAP Commerce Cloud's newest (at the time) headless platform SAP Spartacus. This was a foundational project, pioneering a shift towards a modern, API-first architecture at Samsung.

From my experience and learnings building My Account, I was entrusted with leading the front end team to build out the ecommerce store for Samsung Electronics United Kingdom (SEUK). This store would serve as the base storefront using SAP Spartacus and would then later be used to rollout Samsung's other subsidaries, thus requiring robust support for internationalisation (i18n) and strict adherence to accessibility (a11y)standards.

Angular 6 was used as the core front end tech with RxJS and NGRX used for reactive and scalable state management.

As front end lead of SEUK, my responsibilities included:
  • Building the cart and other core store features
  • Effort Estimations
  • Solutioning
  • Managing and supporting a distributed frontend team across time zones

Beyond project delivery, I actively contributed to frontend leadership initiatives for the whole Samsung account, including:
  • Upgrading SAP Spartacus to the latest version
  • Improving frontend development practices and team collaboration
  • Fostering team culture and engagement across Samsung's global FED community

After the sucessful release of SEUK, I was involved with supporting bugfixes and making enhancements to SEUK and My Account. I also contributed to building enhancements for Samsung's existing stores on the legacy SAP Hybirs platform This included the build of the SIM Only for SENA, Samsung's Nordic Subsidaries.
